The opening reception coincides with the Charleston Gallery Association’s ArtWalk, making it the perfect evening to stop by the gallery while exploring downtown Charleston’s vibrant arts scene.
Featured Artists
Gini Steele (Fiber)
Gini is a textile artist who continues a family tradition of fiber arts passed down from her mother and grandmother. Using both modern and traditional techniques, she creates one-of-a-kind contemporary accessories that explore color and texture.
Lynne Gettelfinger (Fiber)
Lynne is known for her art quilts, art-to-wear, and one-of-a-kind home décor pieces created through quilting and appliqué techniques, often using fabric scraps. With decades of experience working with textiles, she brings a deep understanding of material, color, and construction to her work.
Ron Herzog (Wood)
Ron creates detailed wood imagery using the centuries-old woodworking technique known as intarsia. By carefully shaping and fitting together pieces of different wood species, he uses variations in grain, color, and texture to bring each design to life.
Regina Semko (Paper)
Regina creates intricate paper artworks rooted in the traditions of origami. Inspired by nature, she folds a wide range of papers—including Japanese washi and decorative Chiyogami—to create sculptural pieces, ornaments, jewelry, and decorative works for the home.
Moss (Ceramics)
Moss (aka Angie Brown) is a ceramic artist whose work reimagines functional pottery through a nature-inspired lens. Blending elements of flora, fauna, and fungi, they create sculptural vessels—from tall, blooming forms to smaller, winged pieces—that feel organic, textural, and subtly surreal.
Jennifer Brower (Jewelry)
Jennifer creates intricate wire-woven jewelry inspired by the flowing lines of Art Nouveau and the geometry of Art Deco architecture. Her detailed pieces combine balance, movement, and layered design to create jewelry that is both elegant and expressive.
Throughout the gallery, visitors will encounter works that celebrate ornament, texture, and thoughtful craftsmanship across a range of fine craft mediums. Fancy & Floral highlights the creativity and skill of our member artists while offering visitors an opportunity to discover unique, handcrafted pieces.
The exhibition will be on view throughout the month of April. We hope you’ll join us, whether you’re stopping in during opening night or visiting on a quieter day.
