"I like to think about pots that've been lost in a cave or at the bottom of the sea for so long they've abandoned what they were meant to be-- they've gone a bit feral and developed their own beauty standards. They've looked around and seen what's beautiful and decided to become that instead, independent of human function/need. Who needs a handle if there's no hand to hold it at the bottom of the deep blue sea..."

As with life, Angie approaches clay with humor, curiosity, and playful creativity. In every medium and discipline of her artistic evolution through oil painting, collage, fabric sculpture, and now ceramics, she has gravitated toward rich textures, organic forms, and striking colors.

Angie is an avid gardener and naturalist. By day, she works as a graphic designer and is beloved by many cats, a few raccoons, four chickens, and at least one opossum.
